Saturday or Sunday
Which is the Sabbath day given to man by God
EXODUS 20:8
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy
This is the fourth commandment of the Ten Commandments. Here’s what God is emphasizing:
“Remember” – This implies the Sabbath was already known or established before this command (see Genesis 2:2–3 when God rested on the seventh day). Israel is being reminded to actively recall and observe it.
“The Sabbath day” – This refers to the seventh day of the week, a day of rest and ceasing from regular work.
“To keep it holy” – To set it apart, treat it differently from other days. It is dedicated to Yahawah (YHWH), not for personal business or labor.
The Hebrew word for “Sabbath” is שַׁבָּת (Shabbat), meaning “to cease” or “rest”.
God is commanding His people to honor the rhythm He Himself modeled—six days of work, and the seventh as rest and spiritual reflection.
It’s a sign between YHWH and Israel (see Exodus 31:16–17) of the covenant relationship.
ROMANS 3:3 - 4
3 – For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 – GOD FORBID: YEA, LET GOD BE TRUE, BUT EVERY MAN A LIAR; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
THUS SAYS (Jesus) YAHAWASHI
GENESIS 2:1 - 4
1 – Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 – And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 – And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. 4 – These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
EXODUS 20:8 - 11
8 – Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 – Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 – But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 – For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
This was a commandment given to us by the Most High for a PERPETUAL COVENANT throughout all our GENERATIONS.
EXODUS 31:13 - 17
13 – Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. 14 – Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 – Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 – Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 – It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
LEVITICUS 23:3
Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
ISAIAH 56:2 - 7
2 – Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. 3 – Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. 4 – For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; 5 – Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 6 – Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 – Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
ISAIAH 58:13 - 14
13 – If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: 14 – Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
EZEKIEL 20:20
And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.
MALACHI 3:6
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
GALATIANS 1:6 - 9
6 – I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 – Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 – But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 – As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
HEBREWS 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
HEBREWS 4:4 - 10
4 – For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5 – And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6 – Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: 7 – Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8 – For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 – There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 – For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE TEACH ABOUT SUNDAY
Is Sunday mentioned in the bible, if so how many times do you think that is? It must be in the hundreds, right? Wrong. SUNDAY IS NEVER MENTION, not once from Genesis to Revelation. In the New Testament, the phrase, “THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK” is used ONLY eight times. In the Old Testament, we find two references to the “MORROW AFTER THE SABBATH,” which is a reverence to the first day of the Feast of Weeks.
Once a year, we were told to do something on Sunday. Most people are unaware that one of the first days of one of THE MOST HIGH’S ANNUAL HOLY DAY is called the “FEAST OF WEEKS,” Leviticus 23:15, was mistakenly used to “prove” observance of a weekly Sunday.
LEVITICUS 23:15
And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
The first day of the Feast of Weeks (or Sabbaths) always began on the “MORROW AFTER THE SABBATH” after the second of the Most High’s annual holy days, called The Feast of Unleavened Bread. So once a year on a specific Sunday, we were commanded to count off SEVEN CONSECUTIVE SABBATHS (this is why this festival is called “the Feast of Weeks”) and on the fiftieth and final day of the Feast of Weeks (or Sabbaths) we kept the Feast of Weeks in the Greek tongue called Pentecost.
All of the Most HIGH’s festival days were faithfully observed by the Jews of the Messiah’s time and you will soon see how the whole world misused the first day of the Feast of Weeks to “prove” a false weekly Sunday observance.
In reality, the Bible actually put an end to the Sunday argument. If you literally read Matthew 28:1, it says “In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first of weeks (SABBATHS IS THE ACTUAL WORD THAT WAS THERE.) (Sabbaton is plural, H4521) came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher…” HERE IS WHERE THE MISUNDERSTANDING IS… What does it mean by “the first of Sabbaths—plural?”
Let’s examine the real reason why the word “Sabbaths” was used in the original and not “Sabbath” in the singular. The Jews were fully familiar with this annual particular Sunday in question. The “first of Sabbaths” or better put, “The first day of the Feast of Sabbaths” had been kept by them for thousands of years! But, the rest of the world was ignorant of The Most HIGH’s system of Holy Days. So they made a mistake. The Bible translators didn’t understand why the original word used in this scripture was SABBATON or WEEKS (or Sabbaths)! Read the scripture now, with the understanding that this Sunday is the first day of the FEAST OF WEEKS.
“As it began to dawn toward the first day of the week” is translated incorrectly. Literally, “mian sabbaton” can only mean THE “FIRST (DAY) OF WEEKS” OR THE “FIRST (DAY) OF SABBATHS.”
I hope this help and you will remember now that the “morrow after the Sabbath” is the first day of the Feast of Weeks or “Feast of Sabbaths!!!” THE MOST HIGH WAS NOT TRYING TO ESTABLISH A NEW WEEKLY SUNDAY OBSERVANCE. THE SUNDAY IN QUESTION HERE WAS AND STILL IS THE MORROW AFTER THE SABBATH!
Yes, The Most HIGH had always begun this prescribed annual feast on a Sunday. An annual Sunday observance, does not justify a weekly observance. We don’t have the right to make those kinds of changes. To start keeping Sunday based on this “proof” is like keeping your birthday every week or keeping the Passover every week! NO, we don’t do that because annual holy days fall once a year.
In fact, all the places where the New Testament uses “mian sabbaton“ or “the first (day) of Sabbaths,” align exactly time wise to the annual observance of the first day of the Feast of Weeks. It is no coincidence!
For example, 1 Corinthians 16:2-8 says, “On the First of Weeks, let each of you put by himself, storing up whatever he is prospered, that there not be then collections when I come….BUT I WILL REMAIN IN EPHESUS UNTIL PENTECOST.” In context, it is obvious that Paul had kept the Feast of Weeks and he was would wait till the festival was over at Pentecost before he left Ephesus. Pentecost was the last day of the Feast of Sabbaths. The context proves the case.
CHANGING THE SET TIMES AND LAWS

REVELATION 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
DANIEL 7:25
And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of times.
What are the set times and laws? If we look at the Bible, the only set times authorized by the Most HIGH are HIS SATURDAY SABBATH, and HIS HOLY DAYS which are given to us in LEVITICUS 23. But surely the Sabbath must be done away with by now…since we are under the New Covenant and are no longer required to keep the commandments, right? NO and NO! The Sabbath still stands.
The book of Revelation describes the people of the Most HIGH in the end time, as those who “keep the commandments of the Most HIGH, and the faith of the Messiah.” The fact that the Most HIGH’s people are commandment keepers in the future is repeated three times in the book of Revelation. (Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:12 and Revelation 22:14).
REVELATION 12:17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
REVELATION 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are THEY THAT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, and the faith of Jesus.
REVELATION 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
The Commandments, contrary to popular opinion, are not done away with. The Saturday Sabbath, contrary to popular opinion, is not done away with. Many long years after the Messiah’s death the apostle John wrote, “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (John 2:4) If you don’t keep the commandments, you don’t know the Messiah. And the Messiah proclaims in Matthew 7:22-23 that He does not know anyone who transgresses the law!
The Messiah relates that EVEN IN THE FUTURE the law will still be in effect. Read what the Messiah will say to all who come up to Him and claim to do works “in his name, but are workers of iniquity. (anomia….transgress the law).
MATTHEW 7:22-23
Many will say to me in that day, (the future) Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity
(Matthew 7:22-23) the Messiah does not have a relationship with those that “work iniquity,” so it would be wise to know what iniquity literally means!
The word iniquity is used 15 times in the New Testament. The Bible gives us a definition in l John 3:4. “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”
The Disciples Kept the Sabbath Multiple Times in the book of Acts
ACTS 17:1 - 4
1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: 2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ. 4 And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.
ACTS 13:13 - 15
13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem. 14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. 15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
ACTS 13:42
And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
ACTS 13:43 - 44
ACTS 16:11 - 13
11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis; 12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days. 13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
ACTS 18:1 - 4
1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; 2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. 3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. 4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
There is also evidence that the early disciples kept the Sabbath on the true day
“The primitive Christians did keep the Sabbath of the Jews; therefore the Christians for a long time together, did keep their conventions on the Sabbath, in which some portion of the Law were read: and this continued till the time of the Laodicean council.” The Whole Works of Jeremey Taylor, Vol. IX, p416 (R. Heber’s Edition, Vol.XII, p.416)
“The ancient Christians were very careful in the observation of Saturday, or the seventh day..It is plain that all the Oriental churches, and the greatest part of the world, observed the Sabbath as a festival…Athanasius likewise tells us that they held religious assemblies on the Sabbath, not because they were infected with Judaism, but to worship [Yahawashi], the [Master] of the Sabbath, Epiphanius says the same.” Antiquities of the Christian Church, Vol. II, Book XX, chap. 3, Sec. 1, 66.1137, 1138
“Ambrose, the celebrated bishop of Milan, said that when he was in Milan he observed Saturday, but when in Rome observed Sunday. This gave rise to the proverb ‘When you are in Rome, do as Rome does,’ ” Heylyn, The History of the Sabbath, 1613
If the Most HIGH didn’t change the Day from Saturday to Sunday, who did?
Constantine later enforced keeping a Sabbath on the first day of the week, which he calls “THE VENERABLE DAY OF THE SUN.” VENERABLE MEANS ‘COMMANDING RESPECT’.
The text of Constantine’s Sunday Law of 321 A.D. is:
“One the VENERABLE DAY OF THE SUN let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country however persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits because it often happens that another day is not suitable for gain-sowing or vine planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.”
Later, those who observed the Sabbath were persecuted and killed by the Catholic church. When the Jesuit St. Francis Xavier arrived in India he immediately requested to the pope to set up the Inquisition there.
“The Jewish wickedness” of which Xavier complained was evidently the Sabbath-keeping among those native Christians as we shall see in our next quotation. When one of these Sabbath-keeping Christians was taken by the Inquisition he was accused of having *Judaized*; which means having conformed to the ceremonies of the Mosaic Law; such as not eating pork, hare, fish without scales, of having attended the solemnization of the Sabbath.” Account of the Inquisition at Goa, Dellon, p.56. London, 1815
“Of an hundred persons condemned to be burnt as Jews, there are scarcely four who profess that faith at their death; the rest exclaiming and protesting to their last gasp that they are Christians, and have been so during their whole lives.” Ibid p.64
Early Christians continued to pray and rest on the seventh day.[9] By the 2nd century AD some Christians also observed Sunday, the day of the week on which Jesus had risen from the dead and on which the Holy Spirit had come to the apostles.[9] Paul and the Christians of Troas, for example, gathered on Sunday “to break bread,” [10] Soon Christians were observing only Sunday and not the Sabbath.[9] Patristic writings attest that by the second century, it had become commonplace to celebrate the Eucharist in a corporate day of worship on the first day.[11] A Church Father, Eusebius, stated that for Christians, “the sabbath had been transferred to Sunday”.[12]
The true reason the day of worship was changed is that the Catholic church so decreed it. Here is where the effort to change the set times and laws came from… Read the Catholic quotes in yellow below. These are their own words explaining why they changed the day of worship to Sunday.
“Q. Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
“A. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.”
Peter Guierman, The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (1957 ed.), p. 50. Copyright 1930 by B. Herder Book Co., St. Louis.
They say, “You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify.”
Cardinal Gibbons (for many years head of the Catholic Church in America), The Faith of Our Fathers (92d ed., rev.; Baltimore: John Murphy Company), p. 89.
“Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that worship should be changed from Saturday to Sunday.”
Martin J. Scott, Things Catholics Are Asked About (New York: P. J. Kennedy & Sons) p. 136.
“If you follow the Bible alone there can be no question that you are obliged to keep Saturday holy, since that is the day especially prescribed by Almighty the Most HIGH to be kept holy to the Lord.”G. Lentz, The Question Box (New York: Christian Press Association, 1900), p. 98.
Protestants Take Sunday Worship From The Catholics
Today, some of the leading Baptists even have admitted that the Sunday Sabbath isn’t in the scriptures:
“There was and is a commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not on Sunday…It will be said, however, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week….where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the New Testament. Of course, I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history as a religious day, as we learn from the Christian Fathers and other sources. But what a pity that it comes branded with the mark of paganism, and christened with the name of a sun god, when adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!” Dr. Edward Hiscox, author of The Baptist Manual
Catholics have never denied that the Bible teaches Saturday observance. Protestants may not want to admit it, but unarguably, all protestants keep Sunday based solely on the authority of the Catholic Church, but they don’t go around saying “We just blindly followed the tradition of the Catholic church on the Sunday issue.” Instead they say, “the Messiah was resurrected on a Sunday and that is why I observe Sunday.” But what if the Messiah was not resurrected on a Sunday?
What if the Bible proves that the Messiah was resurrected late on Saturday afternoon, before Sunday even began? The Sunday argument would simply and completely fall flat on its face, wouldn’t it? Let’s see if the proof is there.
What did the Messiah say was the sign of His of His resurrection? “An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Matthew 12:39-40
The Wycliffe Bible Commentary says that the Messiah was placed upon the stake at the third hour or 9 A.M. He died 6 hours later, which would make his death fall at 3:00 p.m. Can we get three days and three nights out of Friday afternoon to early Sunday morning? Let’s see
THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS…
Friday, 3:00 p.m. to Saturday, 3:00 p.m. = one day and one night.
Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to Sunday, 3:00 p.m. = two days and two nights.
Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to Monday, 3:00 p.m. = three days and three nights.
Remember that the Messiah had to be in the grave for three whole days and three whole nights or He is not the Messiah! We know that He was the Messiah. We know that He did not get this wrong! It was the only SIGN of His Messiahship that He gave.
The first misunderstanding comes when individuals assume that the Messiah died on a Friday. Why do they think it was a Friday? Because the Bible says He died on the “preparation” day, before the Sabbath, but let’s look a little closer!
JOHN 19:30 - 31
When the Messiah therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the stake on the Sabbath day, (FOR THAT SABBATH DAY WAS A HIGH DAY)”.
Understanding High Day (Holy Days)
The first misunderstanding comes when individuals assume that the Messiah died on a Friday. Why do they think it was a Friday? Because the Bible says He died on the “preparation” day, before the Sabbath, but let’s look a little closer!
A most important point is missed here! HE DIED ON THE PREPARATION DAY OF A HIGH DAY. A High Day is an annual HOLY DAY, not the weekly Sabbath! Read it again for yourself, “for that Sabbath day was an high day” A “high day” or “Holy Day” can fall on any day of the week, not just on a Saturday. The Holy Day spoken of in this place is the “first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread” which fell on a Thursday the year that the Messiah died.
MARK 7:6 - 8
Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of the Most HIGH, you hold the tradition of men.
SUNDAY
The name comes from the Latin dies solis, meaning “SUN’S DAY“: the name of a pagan Roman holiday. It is also called Dominica (Latin), the Day of God.
The devotees of Mithra held Sunday sacred because Mithra was identified with the “invincible sun.”—Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C., quoted in sunday, page 3.
“They held Sunday sacred, and celebrated the birth of the Sun on the 25th of December.”—The Mysteries of Mithra [1910],pp. 190,191.
One more important quote from the Roman Catholic and Lutheran Churches:
“Appealing to the fact that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday—CONTRARY, TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. No case is appealed to and urged so consistently as the change of the Sabbath, for thereby they wish to maintain that the power of the church is indeed great because the church has dispensed from and altered part of the Ten Commandments.”— Thomas Aquinas, Suma theologica, II,q.122,a.4 ad 4.
Furthermore, the Reformers pointed out that the title “POPE”, Papa or father, is forbidden by the Gospels as a religious title [Matthew 23:9] and that the pope calls himself by the name of GOD, namely “HOLY FATHER” is utter blasphemy
The observance of Sunday as a Christian institution had its origin in that “mystery of lawlessness” [2.Thessalonians 2:7 R.V.] which, even in Paul’s day, had begun its work. Whenever we see the forbidden titles of “Early Church Fathers”, they mean people like Justin Martyr, a pagan philosopher from the east where Mithra came from set up his school in Rome promoting Greek Philosophy and easter [or ester] Sunday and life after death. The Bible forbids Necromancy, the art of speaking to the dead. He also promoted the corruption of the Lord’s supper into the Eucharist.—-History Of Early Christianity, Leighton & Pullan, 1898 ed., p. 290
“Let all the judges and town people, and the occupation of all trades rest on the venerable day of the sun; but let those who are situated in the country, freely and at afull liberty, attend to the business of agriculture; becauses it often happens that no other day is so fit for sowing cornand planting vines; lets the critical moment being let slip, men should lose the commodities granted by Heaven. “-Edit of March 7 AD. 321, Corpus Juris Civilis Cod., lib. 3, tit. 12, 3. NOTE – This edict, issued by Constantine, under whom the christian church and the Roman state were first united, in a manner supplied the lack of a divine command for Sunday observance, and may be considered the original Sunday law, and the model after which all Sunday laws since then.
— Codex Justinianus, lib. 3, tit. 12, 3
DANIEL 7:25
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
This Change went into effect on Mach 7, 321 A. D. by Roman Emperor Constantine.

EXODUS 20:3 - 5
3 – Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 – Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 – Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

DEUTERONOMY 4:16 - 19
16 – Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, 17 – The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, 18 – The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: 19 – And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
DEUTERONOMY 17:2 - 4
2 – If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant, 3 – And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 4 – And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
2nd KINGS 17:16
And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
We have all been trained or programmed from birth with various traditions, rituals, and customs; all paganism is targeted at children.
2nd KINGS 21:2 - 7
2 – And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. 3 – For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. 4 – And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name. 5 – And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. 6 – And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. 7 – And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
2nd KINGS 23:3 – 5
3 – And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant. 4 – And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel. 5 – And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.

GENESIS 10:8 - 9
8 – And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 9 – He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
BOOK OF JASHER, CHAPTER 7:46 - 48
46 – And all the earth was of one tongue and words of union, but Nimrod did not go in the ways of the Lord, and he was more wicked than all the men that were before him, from the days of the flood until those days. 47 – And he made gods of wood and stone, and he bowed down to them, and he rebelled against the Lord, and taught all his subjects and the people of the earth his wicked ways; and Mardon his son was more wicked than his father. 48 – And every one that heard of the acts of Mardon the son of Nimrod would say, concerning him, From the wicked goeth forth wickedness; therefore it became a proverb in the whole earth, saying, From the wicked goeth forth wickedness, and it was current in the words of men from that time to this.
NOTE: JOSEPHUS
Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah, a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it were through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny, seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his power. He also said he would be revenged on God, if he should have a mind to drown the world again; for that he would build a tower too high for the waters to reach. And that he would avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers.
The Romans considered anyone who did not worship the sun to be an atheist and a traitor.
“Of an hundred persons condemned to be burnt as Jews, there are scarcely four who profess that faith at their death; the rest exclaiming and protesting to their last gasp that they are Christians, and have been so during their whole lives.” Ibid p.64

1ST JOHN 2:3 - 6
3 – And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 – He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 – But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 – He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for 4 – For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
HEBREWS 4:4 - 10
The Bible clearly establishes the seventh day—Saturday—as the true Sabbath given by God. From the very beginning, in Genesis 2:2–3, God rested on the seventh day and sanctified it. This divine rest set the pattern for mankind to follow. Later, in Exodus 20:8–11, the Sabbath commandment is reaffirmed as the fourth commandment of the Ten Commandments. God instructs His people to remember the Sabbath day, keep it holy, and refrain from all regular work. This was not a new institution but a reminder of an already established divine order. It is also declared in Exodus 31:13–17 as a perpetual covenant, a sign between YAHAWAH and the children of Israel for all generations.
Nowhere in the Bible is Sunday—the first day of the week—established as a holy day or a day of rest. It is mentioned only eight times in the New Testament, and never in connection with a commanded worship observance. Misunderstandings surrounding verses like Matthew 28:1, which refers to “the first of the Sabbaths” (correctly translated from the Greek mian sabbaton), are rooted in confusion between the weekly Sabbath and the annual Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). Early believers, including Paul, referenced this feast in 1st Corinthians 16:2, not to establish a weekly Sunday observance, but in preparation for an annual holy day.
The shift to Sunday worship came not from the Scriptures but from pagan influence and Catholic Church decrees. The term “Sunday” comes from dies solis, meaning “day of the sun,” a reference to sun god worship. In 321 A.D., Emperor Constantine issued a decree enforcing rest on Sunday—the “venerable day of the sun”—marking the beginning of an official change from the Sabbath. This change was later adopted and enforced by the Roman Catholic Church. Catholic leaders themselves admit this, as shown in publications like The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, where it is openly stated that the Church changed the Sabbath to Sunday without scriptural basis.
Scripture warns us about such changes. Daniel 7:25 prophesies that a power would “think to change times and laws,” and Revelation 12:9 reveals that Satan deceives the whole world. This deception includes altering God’s set times—His holy days and Sabbath. Yet, in the end times, the faithful are still described as those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yahawashi (Jesus) (Revelation 12:17, 14:12, 22:14). The idea that the Sabbath was abolished is completely refuted by Matthew 5:17–19, where Yahawashi (Jesus) declares that He did not come to destroy the Law but to fulfill it. He states that not even the smallest part of the Law will pass away until all is fulfilled.
Many assume Yahawashi (Jesus) rose on Sunday morning, justifying Sunday worship. However, the sign He gave of His Messiahship was three days and three nights in the grave (Matthew 12:40), which cannot be reconciled with a Friday evening burial and Sunday morning resurrection. John 19:31 clarifies that the Sabbath after His death was a “High Day”—an annual feast, not the weekly Sabbath. This means He likely died on a Wednesday and rose late on the weekly Sabbath (Saturday), before Sunday began, fulfilling the prophecy perfectly.
The early disciples continued to observe the Sabbath as seen throughout the book of Acts (Acts 13, 16, 17, 18), where both Jews and Gentiles gathered for worship on the Sabbath. Historical sources confirm that early Christians kept the seventh-day Sabbath for centuries until forced conversions, Roman influence, and persecution shifted the practice. The Catholic Church openly admits it changed the day of worship, and Protestant churches, knowingly or unknowingly, have followed their tradition rather than Scripture.
In conclusion, Saturday remains the true biblical Sabbath, sanctified by God, kept by the Messiah, and observed by the apostles. Sunday worship has no foundation in Scripture and is a product of man-made tradition and pagan compromise. Believers are called to come out of Babylon (Revelation 18:4), reject the commandments of men, and return to the holy commandments of the Most High, honoring His Sabbath and His ways as He originally intended.
