The Feast of Trumpets

A Memorial and Prophetic Call to Israel

The Feast of Trumpets, also called the Memorial of the Blowing of Trumpets, is a sacred Holy Day established by the Most High. It is observed on the first day of the seventh month of the biblical calendar and is considered one of the three Holy Days celebrated in the Shabbatic month, alongside the Day of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles.

Leviticus 23:23 - 25

[23] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. [25] Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

This day is both a sabbath and a memorial, where the sounding of trumpets (shofars or silver trumpets) was commanded to remind Israel of their calling, identity, and readiness for what was to come.

The trumpet (or ram’s horn) was not merely for sound—it had a divine purpose: to gather the people, announce sacred times, warn of war, and call the nation to repentance.

Numbers 10:1 - 10

[1] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [2] Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. [3] And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. [4] And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee. [5] When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward. [6] When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys. [7] But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm. [8] And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations. [9] And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies. [10] Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.

It was the priests who were charged with sounding the trumpet. It was their duty to alert the people of times of danger, celebration, or assembly. This ordinance remains an everlasting reminder for the children of Israel throughout all generations.

But the Feast of Trumpets is more than just a historical ordinance—it is a spiritual call to action. It reminds us to wake up, return to our true identity, and prepare for the fulfillment of end-time prophecies.

Isaiah 58:1

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

Ezekiel 33:1 - 6

[1] Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, [2] Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: [3] If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; [4] Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. [5] He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. [6] But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

The blowing of trumpets symbolizes prophetic warning and spiritual awakening. As Yahawashi instructed His disciples to gather the lost sheep of Israel, we too must use our voices as trumpets:

Matthew 10:5 - 6

[5] These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: [6] But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 15:24

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

John 10:27 - 28

[27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

The Feast of Trumpets also holds prophetic significance for the future. The spring feasts (Passover, Unleavened Bread, Pentecost) have already seen their historical fulfillments through Yahawashi. But the fall feasts—Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles—are yet to be fulfilled.

The three months between Pentecost and Trumpets symbolize the period of Gentile dominion when Israel was in spiritual sleep. The trumpet now calls for a resurrection of truth.

Ezekiel 37:1 - 14

[1] The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, [2] And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. [3] And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. [4] Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. [5] Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: [6] And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. [7] So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. [8] And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. [9] Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. [10] So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. [11] Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. [12] Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. [13] And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, [14] And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Just as two trumpets were blown, Ezekiel prophesied twice: first to awaken the people to identity, and second to revive them with the Spirit. Likewise, the final trumpet will awaken the world at Yahawashi’s return:

1st Thessalonians 4:16 - 18

[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1st Corinthians 15:50 - 54

[50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. [51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Matthew 24:30 - 31

[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Feast of Trumpets is not just about blowing horns—it is a rehearsal for the gathering of Israel. It marks the beginning of the seventh month, the holiest time of the biblical year, and it signals that judgment and deliverance are near.

Final Reflections:

Blow the trumpet spiritually by preaching the true gospel.  Awaken the people to repentance and identity.  Prepare for Yahawashi’s return and the gathering of the elect.

Shalawam and praises to the Most High for the Memorial of Trumpets and its prophetic purpose in awakening and restoring Israel.
